Dyson offers a unique opportunity for a talented and experienced Electronics Engineer in the Technical Research Team, within Dyson’s Research, Design and Development (RDD) department; based in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, U.K.

Successful applicants for this role will be part of the team driving these products and others forward.
You will join a growing team of Embedded Electronics engineers le. Additional responsibilities include: •Ability to take technical responsibility for the embedded electronics content of a project. This may expand to being responsible for multiple, small concurrent projects, supported by a number of team members reporting to an Embedded Electronics Technical Leader or the Research Manager. •Work with the different product teams to gain an in depth product understanding, while using your expert knowledge of the latest technologies to create innovative solutions. •Develop the concept, prove key technologies and demonstrate designs are robust, cost effective and fit for purpose for a high volume manufacture environment. This should be achieved through detailed laboratory testing, simulation and analysis, prior to handover to the development teams.
Qualifications, skills and behaviours: Education and experience: •Minimum BEng/MEng degree in Electronic Engineering, or other relevant discipline, with a demonstrable level of industrial experience in a relevant industry. Minimum technical knowledge: Digital hardware design: ◦Excellent general knowledge of microcontrollers, preferably including ARM Cortex M series. ◦Knowledge of a wide range of serial interfaces (e.g. I2C, SPI, UART, USB, I2S). Software: ◦Experience of C/C++ programming for embedded systems. ◦Experience of FPGA design desirable. Analogue hardware design: ◦Experience of analogue amplification and signal conditioning circuitry Essential behavioural skills: •The ability to take a leadership position within a project, using initiative and experience to drive a project forward in the correct way with minimal management interaction. •Good analytical ability and attention to detail. •Ability to communicate appropriate, concise and accurate information in written and verbal format. •Ability to adapt or generate imaginative and innovative ideas, in line with core Dyson values. •Able to multi-task and plan effectively when working with a variety of project teams in an often high-pressure, competitive environment. •Excellent team working skills.
