Description

The electronics procurement manager ensures that components are purchased from approved sources and are delivered according to the agreed terms and conditions. An important aspect of this role is to drive value for the company working with RDD, suppliers and supply chain teams. Drive for best in class consistent and supplier performance. Position materials for supply assurance and meeting product launch schedule. Develop and drive commodities strategies to align and integrate with company vision.

 

Market Overview

In 2000, Dyson moved production from Malmesbury to Malaysia to be closer to our supply chains and open up international growth. The small team of 10 has now grown to almost 1,200 – forming Dyson’s second biggest global hub. Located in the exhilarating industrial heart of Johor, it’s also home to RDD, IT, operations,  finance, creative and HR.

The RDD facility is central to our plans to launch 100 new machines in the next four years. To meet these ambitions, we recently expanded the site to 30,000m², with 50 advanced technology labs and 700 new engineers. In the Dyson world, there’s no more exciting place to be.

Function Overview

Meticulous in determining standards, researching suppliers, analysing value and negotiating contracts. Challenging and diverse, their work creates a dynamic, driven team. Skills

  • University Degree
  • At least 8 years of experience in PCBA / Electronics Industry
  • Good knowledge of Procurement policies, systems and processes
  • Good knowledge of the electronics supply market
  • Good communication skillset
  • Quality, strategic and cost orientated
