Description and Requirements

As the Senior Electronic Engineer, you will influence Dyson’s future product designs. You will uphold Dyson’s culture of ensuring inherent safety by design, beyond regulatory standard only and will be instrumental in the Dyson development process.

Market Overview:

Dyson HQ is home to over 3,500 people who work across a medley of engineering and commercial functions. The award-winning campus has three cafes, a sports centre and a number of engineering icons including our Harrier and Lightning jets – one of which hangs from the ceiling of our café. Accountabilities:

  • You will be the expert responsible for the safety requirements for product design 
  • Through your influencing you will embed a product safety driven into our full design lifecycle 
  • Partnering with Global teams to understand and advise on safety led product design decisions 
  • Identify opportunities to improve our design and engineering processes and put these into action

Skills:

  • Due to technical role you will need a degree in Electronics, Software or Systems Engineering or similar discipline
  • Experience of electrical systems, electronics or software with an understanding of basic mechanical engineering.
  • Knowledge of safety engineering/ product safety, and activities contributing to the production of safety cases and reports 
  • Knowledge and experience of full product design lifecycle
