Dyson are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Application Business Service team within Dyson IT. You will report to a Programme Manager.

Market Overview:

Dyson HQ is home to over 3,500 people who work across a medley of engineering and commercial functions. The award-winning campus has three cafes, a sports centre and a number of engineering icons including our Harrier and Lightning jets – one of which hangs from the ceiling of our café. Based in Malmesbury, the campus is within easy reach of both the Cotswolds and cities like Bath and Bristol along the M4 corridor.

Function Overview:

Dyson’s Global IT applications service has end to end accountability for the design, delivery and support of all business applications enabling Dysons global commercial, operational and enterprise business process. Forming a large proportion of the IT Function, the team are arranged into investment areas including Owner Experience & Retail, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance & compliance and People and collaboration.


  • Strong leadership, problem solving and complex project delivery
  • Managing large tactical projects or multimillion pound strategic projects
  • Upholding the highest standards of project management methodology including regular and effective communication with key stakeholders, governance, change management and thorough risk management.
  • Contributing to transforming Dyson IT into a strategic function by ensuring your projects are structured, well planned and executed
  • Creating exceptional quality project setup documents detailing scope, assumptions, success criteria, risks, governance structure.
  • Enabling the growth and success of Dyson by taking personal accountability for quality and accuracy of project management performance and deliverables.
  • Create quality business cases for projects in close partnership with Business Stakeholders and creating detailed and accurate budgets for review and approval by the Programme Manager.
  • Supporting Dyson IT to lower its cost to serve and be cost effective in every way by creating quality business cases for projects

  • Extensive experience of IT project management, ideally gained in strategic complex projects for large organisations.
  • A proven record in delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of all stages of the project and programme lifecycle, including development of business cases, mobilisation of programmes.
  • Knowledge of multiple project management methodologies.
  • Experience of delivering complex projects with budgets in excess of £2m.
  • Experience of successfully leading large multi-disciplinary project teams potentially across multiple organisations and locations..
