To support on planning & implementing retail with focus on Electrical multiple channels projects for all Dyson products across Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia.

Market Overview

Dyson has set a regional office for Southeast Asia in Singapore. The Singapore office will provide the vision and strategy to Dyson’s business in Southeast Asia, covering key markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and growth markets such as Indonesia and the Philippines. Working as part of a dedicated team on the ground in Singapore, he/she reports directly to the Assistant Retail/Retail Project Manager overseen by the Senior Marketing Manager.

Function Overview

Dyson is a technology and engineering pioneer and currently operates in the categories of Floorcare, Environmental Control (“Air Multiplier” bladeless fans/heaters/humidifiers/purifiers), Lighting, and Professional (“Airblade” hand dryers). Dyson began 22 years ago with James Dyson and a handful of engineers questioning everyday products, thinking differently and making them better. Dyson invented world’s first bagless vacuum with Root Cyclone™ technology, and also the bladeless fans with Air Amplifier™ technology. Currently Dyson holds 4,550 patents and patents holding, and have a team of over 2,000 engineers and scientists. Dyson also holds a Queen’s Award for Innovation. Dyson vacuum cleaners are now available in 70 countries worldwide, and on average one machine is sold every 5 seconds. 90% of our machines are sold overseas, this was 30% just 10 years ago. Accountabilities

Purpose of Position :

To support on planning & implementing retail with focus on Electrical multiple channels projects for all Dyson products across Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia.

Main Accountabilities and Supporting Activities :

Project Management

•Work with Group Retail, Assistant Retail/Retail Project Manager and SEA Sales teams to implement retail solutions with considerations to Dyson Retail Guidelines, Distributors/Retailers challenges and approvals.

•Manage, prioritise and deliver all retail projects on a timely basis, including prototyping, production, costing and implementation, whether it is temporary, permanent, concept stores, shop-in-shop, events or exhibitions.

•Maintain project plans, timelines, and cost sheets for each project, ensuring that stakeholders are aware of any changes. Drive individual projects through to delivery, resolving day-to-day challenges – involving the right people at the right time.

•Support in demand planning, storage, deployment and installations for core in-store display system, plus all other projects as necessary. Maintain an up-to-date inventory list of all fixtures by market.

•Support retail projects through all relevant areas of the business in regard to design, costing, production quality/details, and timing.

Quality Control

•Work closely with SEA Sales team and Distributors in maintaining high in-store quality across all existing stores. Touchup, replenish and replace parts and fixtures when necessary.

•Monitor contractors in regards to material sourcing, fixtures deployment and installation.

•Quality checks and the resolution of any QC issues or installation snagging issues that may arise. Train contractors in meeting Dyson quality standards.

Vendors Management

•Maintain a core base of suppliers that offer key deliverables – quality, flexibility, reliability and cost.

•Work with the Legal and Procurement teams on costing, terms, supplier contracts and resolve any disputes that might arise.


Skills

Experience and Education :

•Higher diploma or above in interior design or related field required

•3 years + track record of delivering POP, merchandising and retail environments experience

•Project management, time management and people liaison skills •Deliver multinational brand store rollout projects

•Working within a corporate structure involving both internal and supplier relationships

•Dealing with sourcing and overseas manufacturing issues

•Purchasing and negotiation skills •Dealing with international logistics requirements including tax, import and duty implications

Technical experience

•Understanding of the use of materials and processes required for retail environment

•Understanding of technical drawings and specifications

•Understanding of print processes – litho, screen, digital

•Knowledge in project budgets and control

•Knowledge in environmental and recycling regulations

•Well-versed in technical software – Sketchup & Autocad Skills

•Fluency in English and Mandarin

•Fluency in Thai/Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Indonesia/Tagalog not mandatory but a huge plus
