Store Manager, Global Flagship - Oxford Street
£45,000 - £55,000 + bonus, pension, life assurance
Oxford Street, London
In 2016 Dyson opened
its first UK flagship store in London. It is an experiential and
interactive space with a calendar of frequent events driving traffic
and keeping the store fresh and exciting. Following an internal promotion, we need a store manager who knows
how to create and maintain an exciting store environment, is interested
in design and technology and has a proven track record of building and
managing a high performing team.
Dyson is rapidly expanding; in its new and core categories, and across
all of its global markets. The next four years are going to be Dyson’s
biggest and busiest yet. By 2020, we'll be hitting £4 billion in
revenue. We'll have brought in 5,000 more people. And we'll have launched a
further four brand new product categories. With this pace of growth, these ambitious plans, and the complexities of
global expansion, it is natural that Dyson is now thinking about the best ways
to organise itself and manage its exciting new product ranges to best effect.
Our Retail Sales teams epitomise the entrepreneurial spirit that has
defined Dyson since day one: ambitious, commercially savvy, and
strategically agile. We drive innovative ways to put our technology into
more hands. It requires managing multiple networks of Dyson people
and takes ownership and courage. Being constantly driven to see clearer
solutions and drive better sales.
We are looking a free thinker, someone who wants to use this unique space to educate
and excite people about technology and our products. A background in retail is
essential, but also someone who has experience in managing successful events, in-store experiences and concerts.
A natural people manager and
leader, you know how to build, train and motivate a strong team. A background
in retail is essential but this is only the start of what we’re looking for. As
part of Dyson’s store management team you will work closely with the marketing,
PR, digital, sales and finance teams to help define and monitor key metrics, reporting
results and recommending actions to management. Developing exhilarating sales
and marketing plans and selling to the wider company will be down to you. You’ll
have tactical nous to manage and deliver the store P&L successfully. Behind
the scenes, you will oversee operations such as inventory and visual
merchandising. Your flexible work hours will total five days per week.
You’ll enjoy a competitive salary, a performance related bonus, generous leave and a pension.
But financial benefits are only the start of a Dyson career. Rapid
professional growth, leadership development and new opportunities
abound, driven by regular reviews and dynamic workshops. And with a
vibrant culture and the latest devices it’s an exciting team environment
geared to creativity, innovation and ambition.
