The global expansion of the Dyson business will largely be driven by continued growth in China. It will be key for our RDD and Operations function to evolve with this ambition and build a broader global presence and intelligence in China.
We are initially focussed on core areas that we know will strengthen our product launches and give valuable insight into Chinese culture and how our early stage development of technology can be influenced. These core areas are; mobile apps, product trials, research, quality, reliability, technology scouting & procurement.
As Tech Support Engineer, you will be providing Tech support for Mobile App & Cloud development and product support for Dyson China Consumer Care / Dyson China Commercial of all Dyson connected products. The work will be challenging, varied, and will help bring Dyson connected products into the evolving world of IoT.

Interact with a global team including product developers, electronics engineers, embedded software engineers and app developers to ensure our solutions are functional, secure and easy to use.
Provide 2nd / 3rd line technical support for identification and troubleshooting of issues found in our connected devices and the connected eco-system in China for Dyson China Commercial
Conduct end to end usability test before the launch of Dyson connected products or a new app / product firmware release.
Work with software developers and electronics teams to provide insight and resolve issues encountered in China market.
Monitor Dyson connected environment in China, including technical issues and feedback from customers on connected Dyson products & connection eco-system
Collaborate with local commercial team to support go-to-market plans which inlcudes demo, internal/external trail, PR events, roadshow, media visits and etc for new connected product
Provide technical training to Dyson customer care and sales team on new connected product
Provide product technical consulting to all Dyson China local functions, partners or external agencies if needed.
Bring China unique digital eco-system knowledge to Dyson global to help Dyson evolve into Smart Home/IoT solutions in China
Dyson Link app submission and maintenance on China android markets.
Bachelor Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, EE or related field
Knowledge of Wi-Fi and BLE or relevant connectivity technologies
Basic Knowledge in network and transmission such as TCP/IP protocols, wireless system and etc.
Good knowledge in WLAN trouble-shooting including router/network configuration check, channel resource analysis with using tools such as WireShark, inSSIDer, etc
Good Experience Automation tools such as Calebash, Ruby and etc
Experience in testing Android & IOS native and cloud services written in .Net and Java.
Knowledgeable of iOS and Android App release process
Hands-on skills in system level issue debug including log/trace collection, analysis and work-around solution proposal
Knowledge in web protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS and relevant return code
Experience in connected home / IoT and relevant protocol (e.g. MQTT) is a plus.
Experience with Atlassian tools including JIRA, Bitbucket & Bamboo
Inquisitive by nature, you’ll be enthusiastic about technology and creative and tenacious in your approach to problem solving.
Your communication skills will lead your engagement with the Dyson team and wider tech community.
