Description and Requirements

We are looking for a Test manager with technical skills to manage the test teams in the testing, acceptance and approval of the Digital Leap solution. Offering varied work across the technical stack and with different teams, the ideal candidate will leverage their deep understanding of digital technologies and process. We need a confident and experienced individual with knowledge of the technical and business processes and their roles in a digital/creative or branded environment, a good communicator, manager with proven experience of QA processes and methods. Responsible for a Team of Test Analysts as well as functional responsibilities aligned with improving product quality within the Dyson QA Practice.

Function Overview:

Dyson’s Global IT applications service has end to end accountability for the design, delivery and support of all business applications enabling Dysons global commercial, operational and enterprise business process. Forming a large proportion of the IT Function, the team are arranged into investment areas including Owner Experience & Retail, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance & compliance and People and collaboration.

Accountabilities:

  • Familiar with industry standards and certification, and drives efforts to bring products into conformance with such standards
  • Evaluates, maintains and improves testing roles and responsibilities within the product development life-cycle
  • Responsible for functional duties assigned by direct manager
  • Facilitates the development, implementation and adherence of QA and testing standards in partnership with other test team leadership.
  • Evaluates and implements training and development needs for team
  • Manages team compliance with existing measures for reporting testing efforts
  • Co-ordinate all testing tasks within team – scheduling and resourcing

Skills:

  • Previous test management experience including proven supervisory or leadership experience Strong QA and testing industry knowledge
  • The ability to work to agreed deadlines.
  • Experience of coordinating people to complete tasks
  • Delivering quality work to agreed timescales.
  • Working with different teams to provide support for data and technical/business set up to enable testing.
  • Identify and troubleshoot test failures/defects.
  • Identify and mitigate testing risk and issues where appropriate
