UI Designer (User Interface) - IoT
to the Creative Head of Apps, you will be responsible for creating engaging
and intuitive connected experiences, which seamlessly balance ‘product
enhancements’ with ‘commercial requirements’
The R&I team sits within the Dyson RDD department and is responsible for innovation and direction within our connected machines program. The team comprises of four different areas (UX/UI, Technology, Connected features and Commercial), which work collaboratively together to deliver seamless consumer experiences that instil consumer understanding of and confidence in the products, distinct commercial benefits to the business and ultimately brand loyalty.
You will be responsible for the conceptual design of App interfaces across multiple platforms and devices. You will be confident in delivering complex visual communications and working closely with the UX Designers to bring their vision to life. You will also be responsible for creating cohesive UI kits to ensure a consistent design language is applied across all our app products.
You will also be responsible to delivering compelling interaction design and possibly even UI motion graphics if your skill set is broad enough. You will have experience in leading junior designers and working within a wider creative team environment to ensure the timely delivery of your workload.
You will develop all UI creative concepts and designs, working collaboratively with the R&I team (and the wider teams) to bring engaging and useful new app solutions to the market; extending our machines features and functionalities and clearly demonstrating their effectiveness and benefits to the consumer.

You are currently an experienced UI designer working for a recognized agency or brand for the last 3 years plus.
You will have had exposure and experience of working with Asian markets including China.
You will be experienced in cultural variants in content and userability.
You will have an understanding of the nuances of marketing to different markets in terms of brand, language, colors and meaning.
You will have worked in team environments creating consumer centered design.
You have extensive experience of designing beautifully crafted UI’s for mobile-based apps and mobile devices for a multitude of different brands and applications. You will have an understanding of working on IoT and connected projects that link physical and digital worlds.
